Dear Members and Friends of St. Luke’s,
Our annual stewardship campaign kicks off today.
We hope you won’t see this stewardship mailing as just another bill on the pile or one more thing to do during the hectic fall season. Instead, we hope this stewardship campaign will be an invitation to “Live Generously.” With your help, we want to start conversations about the abundance that surrounds our community as well as the challenging financial realities our parish faces.
Here’s how you can help with our stewardship campaign:
- Save the date: Please plan to attend one of our “Live Generously: Connect and Commit” gatherings. The dates and times of these gatherings are listed at the bottom of this page. We will also send out invitations via the parish Facebook page (To join the page, visit: www.facebook.com/TheChurchOfStLukeInTheFieldsEpiscopal).
- Return your pledge form: Take some time to consider how much you are able to pledge for 2014. Then please complete the pledge form and mail it back to the parish office or drop it in the collection plate at a Sunday service. (You can also fill out a pledge form online at http://www.stlukeinthefields.org/pledge-form)
We acknowledge these are difficult economic times for some members of our community and we know that it will not be possible for every household to increase their pledge. Still, we hope that those who are able to increase their pledge will do so. If those who are able could increase their pledges by ten or twenty dollars per month, we will be more able to address our rising operating costs.
The stewardship committee is so grateful for the community’s ongoing financial support of St. Luke’s. We look forward to meeting with you and thanking you in person at the gatherings this fall.
